Daffodils and gifts

This lovely daffodil was in my backyard this morning. Did you know that all parts of the daffodil are poisonous. If you put a daffodil in water with other flowers the sap will destroy the other flowers and not last as long. New York has 2,500,000 daffodils blooming a year. The Isles of Scilly give Prince Charles a daffodil annually for rent. The emblem of Wales is a daffodil. Daffodil bulbs contain a substance called galanthine, which has medicinal properties. In fact, it’s sometimes used in treatments for Alzheimer’s.In Australia, they have an annual Daffodil Day to help raise awareness about cancer. The daffodil is also used as a symbol by Marie Curie Cancer Care in the UK.  source  Tell me where the Isles of Scilly are and I will give the first 10 people who answer correctly $50.00 worth of product e-mail me: hollybeth@hollybeth.net.
